Flexfit 6277 vs New Era 39THIRTY: both are structured, stretch-fit caps with a curved bill and a closed back, and both look sharp with an embroidered logo. The Flexfit 6277 comes in more colors and offers an XL/2XL size in some colors. The New Era 39THIRTY carries the New Era name and its flag logo on the left side, which means that side can’t be embroidered.

Flexfit 6277 sizes
- S/M: fits hat sizes 6 3/4 to 7 1/4
- L/XL: fits 7 1/8 to 7 5/8
- XL/2XL: fits 7 3/8 to 8, available in Black, Dark Navy and Dark Grey
New Era 39THIRTY sizes
- S/M: fits hat sizes 7 to 7 3/8
- M/L: fits 7 3/8 to 7 5/8
- L/XL: fits 7 5/8 to 8
Notice the New Era’s smallest size starts larger than the Flexfit’s. For smaller heads, the Flexfit 6277 in S/M is usually the better fit. For very large heads, the Flexfit XL/2XL goes up to size 8 in its three colors.
Embroidery spots
The Flexfit 6277 can be stitched on the front, both sides and the back. The New Era 39THIRTY can be stitched on the front, the right side and the back. Its left side carries the New Era flag, so we can’t add text or a logo there. If you want a design on both sides, choose the Flexfit.
Colors
The Flexfit 6277 has the bigger color range in our shop, from black, navy and grey to brighter colors like red, orange, royal blue and pink. The New Era 39THIRTY has a tighter range of classic colors. Open each hat in the designer to see the current colors with your logo on them.
Which one should you choose?
- Pick the Flexfit 6277 for teams with lots of different head sizes, for designs on both sides, or for a specific color.
- Pick the New Era 39THIRTY when the brand name matters to your crew or customers and you don’t need the left side.
Tips for ordering fitted caps
- Collect sizes first. Ask each person for their hat size or measure around the head just above the ears.
- Between sizes? Stretch-fit bands have some give. Most people on the line go up a size for comfort.
- Enter sizes per color. In our designer, you type how many of each size you need for each hat color.
- Double-check before checkout. Every hat is made to order, so sizes can’t be swapped after. See our custom order policy.
