Custom team hats are easy to get right: pick one hat style in your team color, put the team logo or name on the front, and add player numbers or names on the back if you want each hat to be personal. Collect head sizes early if you choose fitted caps, and order for players, coaches and parents together so everyone gets the lower bulk price.
Choosing a hat for your team
Fitted caps for the classic ballpark look
Stretch-fit caps like the Flexfit 6277 and New Era 39THIRTY have a clean, closed back that looks like a real ball cap. They come in sizes:
- Flexfit 6277: S/M (6 3/4 to 7 1/4), L/XL (7 1/8 to 7 5/8) and XL/2XL (7 3/8 to 8) in Black, Dark Navy and Dark Grey.
- New Era 39THIRTY: S/M (7 to 7 3/8), M/L (7 3/8 to 7 5/8) and L/XL (7 5/8 to 8).
These are adult sizes. For younger players with smaller heads, the Flexfit 6277 in S/M is the smallest fitted option we carry.
Adjustable snapbacks for mixed ages
If your team has a wide range of ages and head sizes, an adjustable hat like the Yupoong 6789M snapback or a Richardson 112 trucker saves you from collecting sizes. The snap adjusts to fit most heads.
Designing custom team hats
- Front: the team logo, a single letter or the team name. Bold and simple reads best from the stands.
- Back: player numbers or last names, so every hat finds its owner.
- Side: the season year or a small league logo.
- Colors: match the uniform. Use contrasting thread so the logo pops.
One note for New Era fans: the 39THIRTY has the New Era flag on its left side, so that side can’t carry a design. Use the right side or the back instead.
How team pricing works
Logo prices count every hat with your team logo across styles and colors, and text prices count every hat in the order. So 12 player hats with different numbers on the back, plus coach and parent hats, all count toward the same price break. A logo team hat is $24 each at 12 hats and $22 each at 24. Ordering checklist for team managers
- Get the team logo file from the league or a coach. A vector file is best.
- Choose fitted or adjustable.
- For fitted caps, collect each player’s hat size.
- List names or numbers, and double-check spelling.
- Order at least two weeks before opening day. Orders ship in 5–7 business days.
